Services
Anna-Maria works mostly with families of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and PDD). She creates Individualized Intervention Programs that meet the needs of each child and their family through the following:
- Observe and evaluate the ASD child in their home and/or school environment and implement objectives and programs that target language development, academic/social/play/self-help and life skills in order to have the child reach his/her highest potential.
- Educate family members and educators about autism and offer strategies to help integrate the child within the family and school environment.
- Offer strategies on how to manage inappropriate and aggressive behaviors (using the principles of ABA)
- Set up techniques to effectively teach the child how to communicate and learn concepts (through play, table work and observational learning)
- Provide support to the child and their family that encourages a better quality of life.
- Create customized materials needed to teach the child and help the child communicate more effectively: visuals, social stories, games, etc…
- She works in the Montreal area and is available to consult with families on an as-needed basis.
